Qiaolan Deng is a senior undergraduate majoring in theoretical mathematics. C++, Python and R are the languages he often uses. He is interested in the application of statistics. At present, he plans to learn more about statistical learning. He hope to apply for a PhD in the relevant fields.

Qiaolan worked as an undergraduate RA in the CCS Lab (January-December 2016). Based on a machine learning project with Dr. Ahn, Qiaolan won the Mayers Summer Research Scholarship ($3,500) in Spring 2016. He will start his PhD in Biostatistics at the Ohio State University from Fall 2017.
